The Center for Families is excited to be a part of the 2015 Give for Good campaign. This platform allows non-profits the opportunity to reach thousands of potential donors through social media. The exposure the agency gains by participating in this day of giving is advantageous and allows us the benefit to tell our story and share with the community the great services we provide on a daily basis.
This year, during the Give for Good campaign on May 5th; we are focusing our effort on raising $10,000.00 for a new air-conditioning unit. On April 1st, our air-conditioning unit failed to generate cool air in the back part of our building, leaving our counselors and clients without central air. (Unfortunately, this was no April fool’s joke.) Our current 5 ton unit is 15 years old and the parts are no longer being manufactured; nor are there any used or rebuilt parts available.
On May 5th, I would ask you to help The Center for Families BEAT THE HEAT and raise $10,000 for our new air-conditioning unit. It’s easy to give on this day of giving and any denomination over $10 will be accepted. Thank you for supporting the oldest non-profit in Shreveport and helping us to provide quality counseling to all by build stronger lives, families and community.
To donate, you can follow the link to our donation page on the Give for Good website. The donation period will begin at 12:00 a.m. and end at 11:59 p.m. that evening.
